Besides being the gateway to the largest stretch of protected prairie left in the world, Pawhuska is home to two lakes, two parks, a fitness center with an indoor exercise pool, and a host of events each year that attract visitors from around the nation.
With the vast open views of prairie also come great ranching, and with great ranching comes great rodeos. Pawhuska is home to Cavalcade, the world’s largest amateur rodeo, as well as other rodeos throughout the year, many of which are housed in a brand new arena, just outside of town.
