Osage Nation Museum

Visit the Osage Nation Museum (ONM) in historic Pawhuska, Oklahoma. It is the oldest tribally-owned museum in the United States. In 1938, the Osage Tribal Council established the first and only central repository for all material Osage: traditional arts, material culture items, visual arts, historic documents and photographs. For Osages, the treasured ONM Collection that houses masterworks of Osage painting, fingerweaving, ribbonwork, and featherwork, is no passive space, but rather a space for reflection, understanding, and inspiration. Indeed, these cherished items are conveyers of knowledge that have been handed down to us from our ancestors, generation by generation. See selections of this premier collection in our rotating exhibits that convey the story of Osages throughout history and that celebrate the culture of today. Visit our website for more information on our exhibits, collection, and events.
